Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

Hello!

We left cloudy Koh Samui and headed over to Koh Phangan to find the weather much the same. No worries though, we would still highly recommend this place and we learnt to dance in the rain.

We met up with Nick's sister Rachael whilst there and her boyfriend Alastair and spent most of our time with them.

Our room was in a super cool location, right on the cliff edge; It wasn't very clean though and had quite a few creepy crawlys. I also had a snake fall at my feet whilst heading to breakfast.. needless to say this kept me alert!

Below is the beautiful view from our window at night, all the fishing boats glowing up the sky!

We managed to squeeze in a few days of sun and we rented a man with a long boat on the day with the best weather to take us on a tour to the Islands favourite beaches. He took us to a few snorkelling spots and a few of the quieter beaches around Koh Phangan.

We walked up a waterfall at one of the stop off's, and I mean we literally walked up the rocks of the waterfall; It wasn't too slippy though as although it is the rainy season apparently all the rivers and waterfalls are quite dry.

We went to three beaches before the RAIN CAME and we had to head back home, we weren't too disappointed though as we still had a full day, we just missed the final snorkelling spot. The journey back to our beach was insane; It truly was living the life of Pi! The waves where huge and the rain was so hard. Our skipper had to wear a snorkel so he could see.

We were on Koh Phangan for three nights and on our last night we went to Alastair and Rachaels much nicer hotel for a meal and some cocktails. The weather has started to pick up at this point so we were excited for the beaches on Koh Tao.

Koh Tao did bring the wonderful weather we had been wanting! We only stayed for two nights and I pretty much didn't leave the beautiful beach.

Nick was much more productive than my lazing on the beach and he did a Scuba Dive! He said it was awesome, he did two dives both at 12 meters and they took him to a place called the 'Junk Yard' where there is everything you can imagine underwater from windmills to treadmills. I'm sure you'll agree is looks amazing!

Off to Chiang Mai next, we decided to fly this time, neither of us are up for a 30 hour boat/bus ride!
